There is a book by Jack Kerouac called “On the Road”. It’s one of Adam Brooks’s favorite books, and in it, there is a quote that reads: “The only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars.”

Adam and I were walking across a bridge in Austin one day, and spray painted on the side was “The only ones for us are the mad ones.” We both like the quote and believe that you can either be mad in a good way, or mad in a mad way. The good kind of mad is using your craziness or madness for creativity; to create something beautiful for the world. And that’s how we became The Good Mad.
