I want to know:
What parallels do you draw from YOUR LIFE to The Lying Game? My boyfriend seems to think that the lying game is a completely fictitious world. It isn’t “real.” Well, as you can guess, it is real to me. Mainly because I’m apart of it. At least I ACKNOWLEDGE that I’m apart of it.
Here it is: I think LIFE (art) is both TRUTH and a LIE. Of course, that is probably the buddhist in me talking… But I really, really do. All art is based upon the truth of the artist AS WELL AS the truth of the whole. Both are interconnected. So… Where is the line drawn?
If you can even give me ONE example as to how the show THE LYING GAME relates to you, and YOUR LIFE… I’d be forever grateful.
With love,
Allie.

Everyone has secrets and they cover them up with money. I would say that is very true to real life.

1: One of my favorite things about TLG is how relatable the characters are. I like to see myself as a mix of Laurel and Emma, but I have known my fair shares of Suttons or Ethans over the years.

Laurel can be really relatebable for young girls, she’s always living in other people’s shadow, first time, first heart-break .

Everybody has something they don’t want the world to know. You might think you know something, but you don’t. You can try to solve something, but you might end up hurt. The shows theme relates to real things. :)
